The Centre for Romanian Ethnography and Folklore is located in the village of Teşna, municipality of Poiana Stampei, district of Suceava, Romania.

Teşna is situated in the Bucovina region in northern Moldova, famous for its painted monasteries. Its favourable location ensures that many places of interest in Bucovina, northern and central Moldova, Maramureş and northern Transylvania are within only 15 minutes to 2 hours drive.

These regions of natural beauty encompass areas of great ethnographic and folkloristic interest as well as places of cultural, archaeological and historical significance.

The Centre is situated on a mountain covered with conifers. It offers magnificent views of two surrounding mountain ranges more than 2,000 m high. The grounds are a generous 85,000 m2 large, and are frequented by squirrels, rabbits and deer.
The Centre, which is equipped with all modem facilities, is available all year round to visiting groups up to 20 people. It is ideally suited for groups with special interests such as folklore research, music and dance courses, (icon- or egg- ) painting, nature walks, winter sports, relaxation.
