Description

Blouse (ie) with gathered neck (cămaşă încreţită), with sleeves gathered at wrists, and frilled cuffs, with traditional embroidered decoration. A  rectangular strip of geometrical motifs is embroidered in yellow across the top of the shoulder (altiţă), with a narrow white embroidered strip below this (încreţ), and vertical stripes (râuri) of white openwork (Şabac), alternating with rows of yellow geometric embroidery on the front , back and sleeves.

The underskirt (poale) has a row embroidered diamond shaped motifs, and a row of Şabac above the hem.

Narrow woven woollen front and back apron (catrinţe). The front apron has horizontal woven stripes in maroon and black, with interspersed narrow white stripes and floral decoration on the black strips. The back apron has vertical strips in the same colour combinations. The aprons are edged with a black braid binding.

Narrow fabric belt (brâu) with woven stripes in maroon, white and gold.
