Description

Blouse (ie) made of thin fabric with gathered neck (cămaşă încreţită), and sleeves gathered at wrists, and small frilled cuffs. It is decorated with a  rectangular strip of red geometrical embroidered motifs is across the top of the shoulder (altiţă), with vertical stripes (râuri) of red  geometric embroidery on the front, and sleeves, with isolated small red embroidered motifs on the back. There is a narrow row of red embroidery around the nack. 

Underskirt (poale) with a row of co-ordinating embroidery on hem.

Wide pleated red wrap round skirt (vâlnic) made of heavy wool with navy blue vertical stripes woven into the fabric and decorated with stylised floral patterns. It is pleated at waist by using 3 or 4 woollen cords (baiere), which are also used to tie the vâlnic round the waist.  The lower edge is finished with a wide binding of black velvet.

Narrow woven red, white and blue striped fabric belt (brâu)
