Description
Blouse (ie) with gathered neck (cămaşă încreţită) made of thin fabric, with traditional embroidered decoration. Rectangular strips of floral motifs are embroidered across the top of the shoulder (altiţă), with a narrow yellow strip below these (încreţ), then vertical stripes of floral motifs (râuri) down the sleeves. Identical vertical (râuri) decorate the front of the blouse, with narrower simpler rows of floral motifs on the back.
Wrap round skirt (fota) made of a single width of blue woven woollen material, with a richly decorated woven panel on the front and hem with vertical strips in silver and gold tread, interleaved with multicoloured, gold and silver woven motifs and two woven stripes of diamond shapes across the back.
