Fleecy jackets

Maramureş Fleecy white or grey guba
are short, with broad, straight shoulders. Grey gube from Maramureş were worn by free holding peasants.

Woollen fabric waistcoats

made of black, brown or fawn wool, decorated with woollen embroidery or appliqué using small pieces of leather, or black velvet.
Ţara Oaşului, Gube are worn in Ţara Oaşului, with the exception of villages of Moişeii, Huta Certeze, Târşolţ, Bixad, Trip, Negreşti, Boineşti, Tur (Satu Mare), Lăpuş and Chioar.


Banat Large glugă have woven decoration used for sleeping. Term Guibea also used for hooded or unhooded mantle from Banat. This showed Ottoman influences from 17th to 19th century, originally used at court and later in countryside.
Valea Bistrei, Valea Cernei, Valea Cornereva Large glugă used for sleeping made of woven fabric from goats’ hair or wool mixed with goat’s hair. Glubă mic with woven ornaments worn on the head.
Transylvania Glugă have woven decoration.
Central Transylvania - Reghin, Bistriţa-Năsăud, Mureş, and Cluj Gluga is made of several pieces of cloth, occasionally with gussets, and used to cover, the whole body from shoulders to below the knees.
Ţara Bârsei / Mărgineamea Sibiului Ţol have coloured stripes in red, and blue on the lower end.
Avrig, Haţeg, Mărginemea Sibiului, Poiana Ruscă, Valea Bistriţei Single piece of cloth is folded in two lengthways on top of head.

Haţeg Large Glugă was made of woven fabric from goat's hair or wool mixed with goat's hair and used as sleeping bag.
Târnavelor and Cluj, Glugă with gusset added above head.
Prahova, Buzău, Râmnicu Sărat, Botoşani, Bacău, Vrancea Glugă has appliquéd decoration in black or dark grey.
Câmpia Dunării. Ample size mantle with hood.
Moldavia Long gluga are worn decorated with black braid, woven ornaments and embroidery.
North Moldavia and NE Transylvania Glugă is decorated with embroidery or woven patterns in different colours - black red, mauve, orange, green and brown.

Râmnicu Sărat Glugă has black cord ornaments.
Central and south Moldavia Glugă have meandering ornaments, arranged above stripes on the hem.
